High Country Deli at Jay Country Store

Great food great spirits... it's (0,0,0) in the coordinates of my universe... my favorite place in the world... and no, that's not the beer talking!!!

Great ambiance, good selection if snacks etc.

The folks who run the place are everyday folks who are courteous & warm. The food from the deli inside is outstanding. You wouldn't expect it from a "Gas Station" but this place is more than that. It's a diner, liquor store, general goods store & more. I shop here whenever I can.

Pretty good choice of different goods. From local food to clothing, gifts etc. Good alternative to some of the shops you find at the Jay Resort.

Deb, was friendly, helpful and informative about the best maple syrup and goat cheese in the area.

Clean bathroom, fun assortment of wears, neat little sandwich shop and counter. Gas station... Bumper stickers!

Great food, and the nicest people youll ever meet. Stop here before heading up the mountain to get whatever you need, they probably have it. Great cheap food also!

Very fun place to stop in an area with very little other than the mountain. The food is phenomenal and seems home cooked. Theres also lots of trinkets to browse through.

Great little place with excellent panini sandwiches! Great for tourists who don't want to deal with the high prices of Jay Peak Resort.

As a local I have to say it's a great store. Not so little. The best selection of beer in the area. Clothing, shoes, collectable items. They have a great little deli and eat in/take out area. Plenty of parking. Pizza is on point. Always coffee going. Vermont liquor store on premises. We buy our boots here as locals. They have more and better Jay Peak branded goods than the mountain itself

Great place, great people, and great food. I just went in for a few items and to look around but ended up staying for the prime rib special!

Feels a little clostrophobic, a few tight feeling spaces for a larger male. Still expensive.

Hard to miss

Great beer selection, and restaurant inside had awesome food!! They also have growler filling station, but unfortunately only open in the winter.

Good food, snack, and drink selection. I stop here each year for the August West Festival (free music Festival in the first week or so of August featuring mainly Grateful Dead-esque music). There is a nice selection of groceries and a good selection of Vermont crafted items (I love the pine soap by Lightfoots). Outside, there are gorgeous wooden carved statues.

Awesome wooden sculptures decorate the front of this place...three floors of souvenirs and groceries inside!

Lots of unique gifts to choose from. Food, restaurant and gas to.

Great place to get a little bite to eat after skiing all day at Jay Peak. Great selection in beverages, beer and wine. You can't beat their Deli counter. And if it's apparel you're looking for... they've got that too!!! Also check out the beautifully, handcrafted, novelty items made right here in Vermont, by people around the area. So stop in and say hi to the friendly staff where the atmosphere is contagious & you're always welcome at the JCS.

Have a little of everything, the decor is awesome

Such a great variety of products! Lots of local Vermont items. Delicious food with gluten free options! Try the prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays - delicious and great value! Also a great place to pick up local wine, cider, and spirits. A must stop location.

The best Reuben sandwich in North Eastern vermont

I didn't expect to find amazing food. For $12.99 I got a 12oz perfectly cooked prime rib that was so tender you didn't really need a knife. Which such a good dinner of course we went back for breakfast and the Greek omelette was super good, as was the pancakes with maple butter. This is our new food stop for when we visit.
